Higher Ground is a male quartet based out of Trilla, Illinois, singing Southern Gospel style music.  We feel that God has called us to "go and tell the world" that He is Lord and Savior for all who will receive Him.

Higher Ground was formed in the fall of 1992, originally as a male trio.  In the spring of 1993 we felt led to add a fourth man and become a quartet.

The current members of Higher Ground are:  Jim Wallace, Lead; Steve Wheeler, Tenor; Brad Groves, Bass; and Richard Richter, Baritone and Keyboard.

As a part-time group, Higher Ground sings around seventy-five dates a year and has a broad area of travel.  We have sung in seven states in the central and southern United States:  Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Higher Ground has participated in concerts with the following national artists:  Gold City, Greater Vision, Signature Sound, The Kingsmen, The Kingdom Heirs, The McKameys, The Booth Brothers, Perfect Heart, Ivan Parker, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Perrys, The Wilburns, The Crossmen Quartet, Heirline, The Steeles, The Crabb Family, Mid-South Boys, The Apple City Boys, and Fortress.

Higher Ground has sung for many community functions.  Also Higher Ground sings for many church homecomings, revivals, dedications, and special services.
